    We might bus in volunteers to help with door-knocking, GOTV, calling, etc. In other words, our volunteers would actually be doing something useful, measurable, and important.

    But to bus people in, from places that aren't even close, to make the crowds for your speeches look bigger?

    It doesn't matter if they're Mormons, evangelicals, Kossacks. The point is that the candidate would be trying to create the impression of something that isn't true: that he has excited, organic support.

    That's completely phony. Kind of like the candidate himself.
