  •  Obama haters come out on EVERY issue (7+ / 0-)

I get sick of this shit, can't you even talk about an issue without lies and filth about Obama?

America could have chosen to be the worlds doctor, or grocer. We choose instead to be her policeman. pity

    •  "haters"? "lies"? "filth"? (6+ / 0-)

It was a pretty straight forward question: Why didn't Obama use this very powerful letter from the CAW to make the case for, at the very least, a public option?

While "bought by Aetna" may be simplistic and hyperbolic, do you have a better explanation for Obama's failure to fight for universal, tax payer funded health care?

And, no, "It wouldn't have passed through the Congress" is NOT a justification for an abject failure to advocate for what was not only the right solution, but ultimately the most cost effective.

(Pardon my temerity. I guess you can put me in the spewing filth column.)

      •  no, you put yourself in that catagory (0+ / 0-)

what is in the ACA will indeed lead to a public option aand even better, universal health care, if we can keep Obama in office and continue to improve the legislation like we did Social Se curity and Medicare. It's already happening in some states like California and Maine.

But spewing hate and filthy unfounded accusations of "being bought off" helps do nothing except elect reactionaries who will stop what Obama has begun.

    •  How's this for a truth? (4+ / 0-)

Obama said he "supported" the Public Option -- for a year after he'd bargained it away behind closed doors.

Oh, but that was the President's lie, wasn't it?

      •  wrong again (0+ / 0-)

As people are beginning to learn the public option (and better) is indeed contained within the ACA. Making unfounded accusations might feel good to you but it helps those who would halt our fight for universal health care for all Americans.

Look at what California and Maine are doing and you'll see that as more and more of the law goes into effect it gets better and better. Instead of spreading lies that the President was bribed etc. it would help if you worked hard to assure those who would stop our fight to get universal health care do not get into office.
