    Gingrich won 43 counties
    Romney won 3 counties (Charleston, Beaufort, Richland)

    Romney finished 2nd in 37 counties
    Santorum finished 2nd in 5 counties (mostly Charlotte market)
    Gingrich finished 2nd in 3 counties (all won by Romney)
    Ron Paul finished 2nd in Abbeville County

    Santorum finished 3rd in 38 counties
    Romney finished 3rd in 6 counties
    Ron Paul finished 3rd in 2 counties

    Herman Cain finished ahead of Rick Perry in 31 of 46 counties. Cain broke 2% in Richland and Charleston Counties.

      Why would a market associated with an NC city be more inclined to support Santorum?

      •  that wouldn't be the association (0+ / 0-)

        but perhaps ads against Santorum or ads for Romney didn't run in that TV market or maybe Santorum bought ads in that area.
