    that several high profile TP candidates outspent Dems by multiples and still lost.

    All the money in the world can't sell a highly toxic message to enough voters.

      Next's toxicity is like mother's milk (the other "mother's milk of politics") to the Republican base.

      Romney, in comparison to the other Republicans seeking, or who have sought, the nomination, is calm, thoughtful, patient and disciplined.  In other words, to most red-meat R's,, he is suspiciously like Obama.  The whiff of the other, Mormon, is for them the functional equivalent of Kenyan.
      Soon enough we may hear them asking for his "long-form faith certificate", and then rejecting it when presented to them.

      For base R's, the election is all about ousting Obama.  But they are unable to look at the problem strategically.
