will not and cannot work for us as long as a mere 535 Americans must raise tens of millions of dollars each in order to gain and hold elected positions that pay a "mere" $174k/yr. How can we trust anyone who spends ten, twenty, or even one hundred times their salary in order to get the job? Our "representatives" our dependent on the largesse of the 1% in order to get in office. They know who is writing their real paychecks, and to whom they are really accountable.

Unless and until we enact real campaign finance reform that eliminates such gross conflict-of-interest, we are doomed.

Al Qeada is a faith-based initiative.

The game renews itself by sucking in young politicians and converting them over time into adherents and defenders of the system that enriches them and their cliques, and prevents any serious change from being implemented.

The presence of campaign finance reform would be a step towards change, but it is the growth of huge personal fortunes and the strength of that class that precludes any improvements for the rest of the 99%. we are fodder for the feasting in excess. Even as the standard of living goes down in real terms, their excesses and shares go up beyond all imaginings.

      This.....    will not end well.

If you think that you and a bunch of other people can just show up on Wall St, camp out and have any effect whatsoever.... well, you will be run off in 20 minutes., you will leave town having wasted your effort 6/18/11.
