View Diary: ABC World News Tells Incredible Lie: "Surprise" Tornadoes Struck With "No Warning" (213 comments)

    Not only was it easy to find a person who said "(radio or TV station X) saved my life" (and that includes Spann's station), but many of the people who did die in Alabama that day, were either taking shelter or in the process of it.  There's no telling how many people would've died that day had it not been for meteorologists warning them up to a week in advance.

    This time, one of Spann's competitors, J-P Dice of the Fox affiliate, even had what turned out to be the correct path of the storm narrowed down a day in advance.  Spann probably did too, I just didn't watch his station.

    It's possible ABC's New York news room had no advance notice this time  but here in Alabama, everyone was damn well ready.
