  •  I haven't read the law, but how can this not be (9+ / 0-)

similarly applied to white students as well, especially when they're in the minority in this district anyway?

    •  These are not laws being applied fairly (13+ / 0-)

If this were about an intellectually objective set of criteria or academic standards, this issue would not be an issue.  This is about people who have a been in their bonnet about brown people.

Laws, rules, administrative procedures, logic and whatever else are being bent to the purpose of addressing annoyance that there are too many brown people getting smart.

They have, however, by banning so many books, really created a powerful backlash.  The American Library Association came out today with a position on this.  Soon there will be big time lawuits.

The authors, who represent a large collection of really articulate people have a stake in this and will be on talk shows from north to south and east to west.

I think the perpetrators of this shenanigan will really wind up regretting this.

hope that the idiots who have no constructive and creative solutions but only look to tear down will not win the day.

when he was a legislator.  It was specifically aimed at the Mexican American Studies program, because bashing Mexicans works well for the GOP in AZ.  The Supe actually campaigned on this issue.

Things are changing.  redistricting will give us a better balanced legislature after 2012.

Remember, you can't have crazy without az.
