the media that let it all slide?  If a reporter or editor knew for certain that there were crimes, would they have any liability, say aiding and abetting, or something-or-other after the fact?

    •  Well, someone may have suspected something, but (10+ / 0-)

they didn't know for certain, did they?

Personally, I am kind of angry at the press. Especially the papers that endorsed Walker, made the protests out to be on both sides equally, downplayed numbers of people, kept acting like recalls wasted taxpayer money and that there would be low turnout for all the recalls.

I really am angry at the press, except for the few who stood up for the truth.

    •  The media has all kinds of protection (9+ / 0-)

Failure to report something isn't a crime the same way that bullshit being presented as "news" isn't illegal for Faux Newzzzzz nor is their "errors" in idenfying scandalous Congresscritters as "democrats" when they're Republicans or showing video of protesters battling police in a palm tree laden location while discussing protests in Wisconsin in the middle of winter.

Even if they were culpable, they wouldn't report on that, either, would they?

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.

revealed that they knew about some of this sh*t at the time, they'll at least suffer some loss of credibility and reader-/viewership.  How do so many groups get implicit or explicit immunity, while we great unwashed masses are on the hook for every parking or jaywalking citation?
