    constituent of his. He was gerrymandered in with David Price, who was determined to run again. Miller didn't want to play that game, as I've been hearing through "inside baseball" sources for months, so he dropped out.

    Yes, I'm disappointed, but it's easier to take if you've had advanced warning.

    The Bev Perdue dropout was no surprise either. Her poll numbers have been atrocious for more than a year. She should have done this 3-6 months ago. As it is, she leaves NC Democrats scrambling.
