And "backwards" would be thinking that, as a voter, you retain influence after pledging unwavering support.

Chiefs of Staff: Rahm Emmanuel, Bill Daley, Jack Lew. Whose side do you think he's on?

How much influence do you think you will have with President Romney?

Conservatives outnumber liberals almost two to one.

What do you think would happen if President Obama tried to cater only to progressives?

President Mitt is what would happen.

How progressive do you think Willard would be?

Do you think he would do any of this?

The best path to more progressive government is to vote Republicans out of office at every opportunity.  Remove GOP obstructionism and you'll get your progressivism.

The winner won't care what kind of message you thought you were sending by withholding your vote.

The time for a candidate to "earn your vote" is during the primaries.  We're not having primaries this year.  Obama is our candidate.  The other one is a Republican.

You're not pressuring anyone by threatening to not vote.  You're only hurting yourself.  And the world.

Unfortunately, President Obama doesn't have time to read DK, so contact him here: The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500 (Postcards, not letters! Please give your email address) -- 202-456-1111 -- FAX: 202-456-2461

He would be re-elected in a landslide, because progressive positions are very popular, as poll after poll after poll has shown.

      •  We don't have a "progressive" ex president (2+ / 0-)

And when Obama is no longer President, we still won't have one. We'll have another "centrist" who plays the equivocation game to keep getting invited onto the Sunday shows.
