  •  Employer Based Health Insurance is terrible. (7+ / 0-)

We can do a lot better with a Single Payer state or national plan.

Why are we so happy to fail to meet the needs of our citizens?

health care cost me around $35/month and covered everything but pregnancy.   I wasn't married for the first part of that time and was very very careful so no problem.

After I married, our insurance still didn't cover childbirth, but when my first baby was born, we worked out a payment plan with the doc and the hospital--cost us around 50/mo before and for another 6 or so months after--baby was fully covered instantly.

Both of my spontaneous abortions were covered with no questions.

There were some good old days in there----

I think what the baggers are really mad about is the loss of the days before corporations started figuring out how to turn every damn part of their business into an income center instead of customer service.

        1. Corporations can do no wrong!

        2. Spontaneous abortions? God doesn't allow such things, so you must be a murderer!

/snark, at least on my side; on their side, it's nothing more than eternal truth . . .
