  •  You do realize that just taking the senate is not (2+ / 0-)

enough as it requires a 2/3 majority to remove from office.

    •  The point isn't to actually remove Obama (1+ / 0-)

from office, but to discredit him and his ideas and agenda and make it impossible for him to advance them in his increasingly inevitable second term. It's literally Clinton redux, so depressingly predictable are these shitbag trolls.

      •  In that case, they could impeach him now. Even if (0+ / 0-)

we retake the house they can still impeach him in the "lame duck session" that takes place after the election but before the switchover.

        •  Yes, they could (0+ / 0-)

And it would GUARANTEE that they'd lose the house and senate this year, since it's a presidential election year and he's more popular than they are. In 2013, they'll have a window during which that won't necessarily be the case.

Or so they seem to believe, as I'm convinced that it would backfire then too. But so long as they don't believe that, what I believe is irrelevant. We're not exactly dealing with the most intelligent or sane bunch of people here.

(assuming we retake the house) which happens AFTER the election but before the new congresscritters actually take office.  Remember, even if we take back the house in the election they still have until January 3rd (I think) to make as big of a mess as possible before they have to leave.

            •  And if they keep the house and take the senate (0+ / 0-)

then obviously they'll want to wait until 2013. But for maximal political advantage (as they see it), this would best be done several months into Obama's 2nd term.
