  •  I dream of doing that. (9+ / 0-)

I am one that thinks every time I play the lottery I will win.  I am always shocked when I don't.  But when I do win it I will help people like your waitress and then I will set up a foundation that will pay for children to take music or art lessons, join competetive teams, or anything they might like to try.  This is a three fold help plan.  The kids get obvious benefits.  The artists, musicians, dance studios, gyms, get paying clientele.  The foundation would hire people to run it and govern the giving.  It is such a fun dream to think about.

And as an artist, I like your plan.

but I never give up because I KNOW I'm going to win more than $8 one of these days. Ceiling cat must know how much good I will be able to do!!
I read a crazy book once about some folks who were guaranteed to win a huge prize in the lottery, but in exchange they had to leave their homes and families and there were some other conditions I can't remember. Also, can't remember the name of the book. Fun read though.

America is a COUNTRY, not a CORPORATION. She doesn't need a CEO. Vote Obama.

the kind of mindset of far too many who vote for candidates who promise to cut their taxes to zero and give, give, give them everything they could ever possibly want.

        (Not meant at you, though.)

I think of it as the Never-never plan.
