Discover is playing games with their paperless customers who use Quicken by no longer including interest with the list of transactions in their Quicken download.

apparently loads of people have reported the issue on Quicken support.  the numbers aren't adding up for Quicken users with their Discover accounts.  Quicken is blaming Discover.  Discover is blaming Quicken.

my partner has been bewildered as to why things weren't right in his Quicken report.  he found out tonight by going to the Discover "help" section where they say they no longer provide the interest on the account along with the card transactions in the Quicken download.  apparently they put that into effect in November.  he thinks it is some fishy game they are playing to get people to default on their accounts.

it certainly sounds like something the consumer bureau should look into now.  did Discover send out some formal notice?  this would appear to be a change in the way they handle your credit account in which they legally have to inform you.

I'm a blue drop in a red bucket.

    •  New rule... no interest reported = no interest (0+ / 0-)

can be charged... that would sharpen attention on better treatment of customers pronto... heh...
