As a physician in an underserved community it's great to be able to tell an uninsured breast cancer patient, you will be treated and you won't have to worry about the cost.

Other cancer patients, you scramble around trying to find someone, anyone who will help.

As much as I feel for those who experience breast cancer. and right now I number three doing so close friends, if you have colon cancer or any other form of cancer, it is like you are a stepchild.

      This needs to change.

I agree that there was a time when awareness and treatment of breast cancer was neglected.  I'm not sure that is the case any longer.

Perhaps the Susan G. Loman foundation has accomplished its goal and needs to move on?  I'm sure others more knowledgeable can speak to this.
