  •  Oh good. Fewer mechanics for an aging fleet! (7+ / 0-)

The last time I flew American, they sat us down on the plane for 40 minutes while, we came to know afterwards, mechanics were attending to an unspecified leak that was so bad we were made to get off the plane and on another one, costing everyone involved 2 hours.

This is just what this airline needs - fewer mechanics!  What if the crew that discovered the plane-compromising leak had been too short-staffed, tired, or resentful from poor conditions to do anything about it?  Maybe the flight would have gone well, but maybe it wouldn't have.

    •  Don't worry...they're going to take care of that (5+ / 0-)

problem by sending the planes overseas to be serviced by non-English speaking workers who probably work for $1 an hour and can't read the instructions....some airlines have been doing that for years.

dismantling AA will ground the planes, that will be safer right?
