60s almost to 70 F for most of the last two weeks of January and both days in February so far. I've had to turn on the AC for a few hours every afternoon. It's very pleasant, but I'm terrified of what the summer is going to be like.

"Mistress of the Topaz" is now available in paperback! Link here: http://www.double-dragon-ebooks.com/single.php?ISBN=1-55404-900-8

IOW, winters will be warmer and summers cooler (or not hotter).  It's due to all the added moisture in the atmosphere, sort of a stabilizing effect.  Although this has helped add fuel to the hurricane (and now tornado) seasons because the winters have been less cold, in addition to more moisture.
