    happening. I have to deal with some of these people. They either just deny it's being caused by burning fossil fuels or will flat out tell you that we can't do anything about it if China and India aren't on board.

    It's like they want to play a giant game of chicken; who is going to cut their emissions first. All while people's lives hang in the balance and they don't care. If you try telling them we'll never have the leverage to force change in China or India unless we take steps ourselves, they don't want to hear about it. They won't let go of their precious fossil fuel industry. Even while we're careening over the cliff.

      for China is to say: "If you're going bankrupt, and you can't reduce your rent, does that mean you shouldn't economize elsewhere?"
