  •  Number I need isn't there... (0+ / 0-)

First of all, both links go to Planned Parenthood. Second, I have never seen the number I am looking for in a SGKF report  - the amount passed-through, yes, but not the consolidated effect of the funds going through two bureaucracies. I can calculate it for SKGF funds that went to Planned Parenthood by taking the two reports together, but I wanted to see if anyone had ever  compared the efficiencies of all health care-related organizations along with PP.

    •  Sorry... (0+ / 0-)

      SGKF link here.

And if it still doesn't work. Both have a website with their financials posted.

So let me break down a little about SGKF.

      Year ending March 31st 2011:

Total Expenses, just shy of 409 Million
Fund Raising, General, and Administration, over 75 Million
      Health screening services, 54 Million
      Treatment 23 Million
      Research 75 Million
      Public Health Education, 181 Million

So who the fuck is getting speaking fees out of that 181 Million?

Now go look up the PP numbers and post them here. You can do it!!

This better be good. Because it is not going away.

      •  Health Education includes awareness efforts -- (0+ / 0-)

including advertising and marketing... promoting awareness of the mission of SGK can be defined as increasing public awareness of the problem.  it's also known as self-promotion.

Depending what else, what actual public service(s) are included in "Education," if any,  that number might well be way too big.

It seems curiosity has killed the cat that had my tongue.

        •  That number is taken directly from their (0+ / 0-)

          audited fucking financial statement.

This better be good. Because it is not going away.

          •  that 1 number has no direct relationship to (0+ / 0-)

"speaking fees" -- that's an assertion that you have made and you seemed very worked up about the idea.

I didn't question the accuracy of the number you provided from their statement, I pointed out that the $181 million has other, unknown, constituent expenditures --

and, depending on how worthwhile those costs were overall, that number may or may not represent a colossal waste of donor dollars.

It seems curiosity has killed the cat that had my tongue.
