  •  PP has won on so many levels (25+ / 0-)

For practical purposes, the donations are at $4 million today; people who did not know much about PP are learning and donating--some for the first time; the two-fer which SGK had planned, defame PP with excuse of its being under investigation resulting in defunding didn't fly; the lies about PP and abortion have been exposed; and, SGK capitulated.

SGK, on the other hand, has lost on even more levels. Brinker, the BOD and executives have been exposed as RW ideologues with a plan; present and future donations and sales will continue to drop; because SGK has "reversed" it's decision, the RW has now turned on the organization; and, possibly the worst case scenario has presented itself.  SGK corporate sponsors could file lawsuits which would cripple the organization.  It's hard to know what kind of damage this has done to Yoplait, for example.

I have either been brought to tears or laughed my ass off during the last couple of days and that, to me, is a very good thing.

When someone is impatient and says, "I haven't got all day," I always wonder, How can that be? How can you not have all day? George Carlin

    •  Agreed -- and we've also learned (0+ / 0-)

that Komen pulled funding from stem cell research last fall, which had completely gone under my radar, at least, and I bet many others. No matter what kind of fake apology Komen has issued for the PP debacle, they won't get back in my good graces -- ever. Hope and believe I am not alone in that.
