for PBO aren't going to drop him because of this and then vote R.  The country is severly divided and the sides are drawn.  I like that the left is finally shooting back.   I am happy the left is asserting itself and cowering from the fight isn't a good thing.  That is how the right has made such strides in the last 30 years.  Most Catholics have used birth control.  After the headlines the angst will settle and be forgotten by the voters.

You're looking at this from a political dimension, but the Church isn't seeing it that way at all. To them, they are being forced to choose between their beliefs and providing healthcare for their employees.

I have mixed emotions about all this. And if a vote is forced on it the President will almost certainly lose. And I seriously don't think he's crazy enough to veto it.

including Catholics, use or have used birth control, bbb, those women weren't paying attention to the Church then. Why should they start now that they could get the Pill for free?

The MALE celibate Church doesn't think women should be on the Pill? The Catholic Church has exploited women for centuries.

Fortunately, there aren't that many Catholics who listen to the nonsense preached by the Church. Why you think the President needs to listen to a group with many practicing pedophiles and rapists escapes me.

If life gives you melons, you may be dyslexic.

it goes to separation.  If churches want to help people then they can receive gov money to do that and play by the rules of the land.  If not, then don't take the money.  They made that decision with the Catholic schools.  The Church doesn't get gov money for schools and they have leaway to do what they want.
