but the last time I needed to purchase the Pill, our co-pay alone was $25.00. When we were between jobs and had no insurance that cost went up to $45.00 each month. Of course, at that point I went to Planned Parenthood for help...Hmmm...that could be a problem under a Romney administration, too.

You don't get to choose which type of pill your doctor prescribes. Usually the prescription is for the one your body will tolerate the best (which isn't always going to be the cheapest one). This isn't like buying a loaf of bread. You can't go to the "Day-Old Contraceptive Outlet Store" and find a bargain brand pill.

And yes...for the majority of women (who already make less than men, remember) paying for birth control is a matter of trade-offs and choices. Do I buy a monthly hot-lunch ticket for my kid--or birth control? Do I buy a tank of gas to get to work--or birth control?

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. MLK Jr.
