  •  Maybe a good swift kick somewhere else (15+ / 0-)

near the rear, but in the front.  Does that  make it a swift kick in the front?  I'd say it couldn't hurt, but the point is, it would really hurt.  That's what these guys need, something that wakes them up so they remember that women are equals and have as much right to control their bodies as men have the right to control theirs.  Maybe someone needs to ask the bishops what happens when a man "spills his seed".  If this were an issue that men are not to have an orgasm unless it is for procreation, they might get it.  Some seem to equate Viagra with birth control.  Seems Rush thinks that birth control works just like Viagra.  You want sex, you take a birth control pill first, wait an hour, have sex, and go have a smoke and have a good stiff drink.  Even Mitt has that strange belief.  I'm a man, but I understand how a women's reproductive system works.  I've had 2 daughters.  So I've gone through female reproduction and coming of age just a few times.  I may not understand what it is like to be a woman, but it doesn't take a genius to realize that women want the same things men want, happiness.  Some find happiness in having babies, some don't.  It should be a woman's choice which way it goes.  Men can control their seed to some extend.  If they are responsible, they can use condoms to prevent their seed going where they may not want it.  But ultimately, it is not a man's place to tell a woman what she can or can't do.  It does take two to tango, but it is a woman's responsibility to decide whether she is willing to take care of 5 minutes of pleasure for the next 20 years.  Men can leave and escape any responsibility, even legally.  But it is hard for a woman to escape that responsibility.  If a woman drops a baby and walks away, she might be charged with abuse, neglect, murder, whatever.  Does a man get the same?  Not likely.  So the scary part of being a woman (from a man's point of view) is that she is responsible for the result of that 5 minutes of pleasure and the man isn't.  A good man will take that responsibility, but he can chose to not do that.  I guess ultimately, that is the difference in the sexes.  only seahorses have a "society" where the male raises the young.
