    We have a couple of statutes that say if a plan provides prescription drug coverage, it shall provide contraceptive services. There is a very narrow "religious employer" exception that is limited to employers whose employees are generally members of a single faith, it's a non-profit, and it serves primarily those who share the same religious tenets. So it does not, by definition, apply to Catholic-affiliated hospitals (of course, the Bishop of Phoenix de-Catholicized the big one here, St. Josephs over a procedure that he concluded, against all evidence, was an abortion even though the hospital still identifies itself as a Catholic institution), schools, food banks, etc.

    I'll put the Arizona legislature's conservatism up against Georgia's any day of the week, but there has been nary a peep out of anyone on this issue.
