This year Citizens United will see to it that more money is wasted in one year than in any other time or place on earth.

Imagine what we could do with that money for this country, if everyone was as willing to contribute to our real problems as they are to our "Rollerball" national election spectacle. And it's one of the great ironies of this country, that while republicans will do anything to avoid paying a dime more in taxes, they'll spew money like an oil gusher to buy power.

Smart advertising people know there is no percentage in over buying, that there IS a saturation point, and even a point of diminishing returns. While it is true that advertising works on the principle of repitition, it all turns into white noise at a point---but that white noise costs a mint.

And btw, your "tens of thousands of dollars worth of ads" is quite quaint. More like tens of millions that add up to a billion or two.

StellaRay, I love this statement and with your permission, I'd like to use it on my Republican friends.

you not only have my permission, you have my full tilt encouragement. Although SIGH, I fear your efforts will be wasted. IMO, we are now involved in a political civil war, one the likes of which I've not seen in my life time. No one was going to convince the rebels with yankee talking points. I'm afraid, that's exactly where we are today.
