Saudis could be lying/faking like all the rest of OPEC or not.  This guy has no real data and numerous mistakes in his story.  It's all conjecture.

Saudi AL is not "high end" crude that any refinery could process.  It's pretty heavy and sour, just not as bad as the Arab Heavy that they shut in in the early 80s and brought back on stream recently as demand picked up.  Hard to put a lot of stock in the work of someone who apparently knows little about crude oil.

Ghwahr oil field overproduced and damaged?  I doubt it.  Saudi Aramco isn't run by dummies and Saddam didn't get to torch these fields.  Not to mention that for about 15 of the last 20 years, Saudi was producing at well below half of capacity.  When was this "rapid production leading to damage" occurring?

Still, I wouldn't be surprise  if their published reserve estimates were BS.  All of OPEC lied like hell in the quota war era when these estimates were first produced.  And there is no independant data available.  It's not like Saudi has shareholders demanding straight info (not that worked for Shell et. al).
