    It's not a fun thing to do. But then neither was the colonoscopy I had done last week!! So while not fun, they are sometimes medically necessary. When I say "medically necessary", I mean that the mother doesn't want to be pregnant for whatever reason, and needs to have the situation remedied with medical technology. Kinda like that benign polyp that was removed during the colonoscopy!

    Mine was done in California in 1978 at Planned Parenthood. Because my boyfriend and I were both 17, and not working, we got the abortion for free. We didn't have to get parent consent first. Just showed-up for the appointment, and it was done. I will be eternally grateful to PP for their help. Now as a married mother of 4, two in-law kids, and 2 grandkids I can tell you that my daughter and my daughter-in-law both use PP for their yearly checks and birth control as it's affordable there. My English step-daughter doesn't need to use PP because she has SOCIALIZED MEDICINE to cover all of her medical needs. Lucky girl.      :)
