      just drop the subject.    The laity won't publically disagree with the clergy and the clergy will discretely ignore the disappearance of large families from the congregation.

      THe last thing that anyone wants is to actually debate whether or not to use contraception.  That's why Obama's move was so great.  He removed any way to complain about personal conscience in the funding of birth control.  Now the only objection the bishops have is to the use of birth control by someone else.
