    That bump in Dem excitement is around the time that Obama started talking tough (e.g., the Osawatomie speech).  If his tough talk starts getting followed by his typical "any deal is better than no deal" compromises, he'll lose that momentum.  When your running for president the first time you just have to keep your story straight; the second time around you have to show that there's more to it then empty campaign promises—especially if that's what happened after you got elected the first time.   Last time I vote for Obama; this time I think I'll be voting against the GOP—from hope to fear ;-(

      ...consider the possibility that President Obama just may be getting stronger, and sharper and smarter and more gutsy than he has been in the past.

      Of course that's clearly a stretch for you, but for the sake of our nation and of the world as a whole...I hope your take on the prez is mistaken.
