Another question is whether he can be Rick Santorum. With Santorum crushing him in the national polls, Romney is going to have to use his superpacs to nuke him.

Newt is already nuked. I still hope he can win some southern states so I can watch a brokered convention. That would be a real learning experience.

At least in an old-fashioned brokered convention it does -- they used to be smoke-filled rooms, no women allowed, but that's probably changed. You can bet that no Occupy folks or dang librul media will be in there filming the funnies to post on YouTube.

Word is that the GOP establishment has told Mitt to back off the nuking.  It's the same "advice" they insisted that Gingrich follow about the Bain attacks, which left Newt defenseless when he complied.

Mitt's in a real bind now, assuming he follows their advice.

and he's still around.  If Mitt successfully nukes Santorum, then it wouldn't surprise me if Newt gets a third chance.  The GOP primary electorate has largely rejected Mitt and will vote for someone other than him.

I think Obama and his allies should attack Mitt in Michigan with the betrayal theme.  If Michigan goes to Santorum and Arizona to Romney, this primary won't be over until May or June.
