Women have fought, been put in prison and even died for the rights we have. American suffragettes stood on the shoulders of those who laid the groundwork in the UK and Europe before them. Women in other countries that have repressive societies have looked to America, UK, Europe, Japan, Australia, etc  to stand on our shoulders.

The fact that we are sliding backward with regard to rights hard won is a national travesty and an international tragedy.

(Btw, did you know that Isle of Man gave women the right to vote in 1818 ? How cutting edge is that?!?)

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

    •  No, it is evidence of the fact that human (0+ / 0-)

nature is constant and some people are instinct-driven predators who prey on their own kind.
The trait, if it is genetic, likely persists in the genome in case of emergency.  If it's not, then it's probably the result of a bundle of deficits that are environmentally caused either before, during or soon after birth.
