I don't see from the video who started it.  Only that a "scuffle" broke out in the crowd.

        started.

Before that those mean ebil Occupiers were saying rude things like "shame on you" and "civil rights for everyone".

        How horrid, don't you think?

certainly agree with you.  You can't tell from that video what started it.  You assume that it is the police because you assume that the police are always acting improperly.  I understand that.

I'm fine with people shouting things at a Presidential candidate.  But if they are at a speech where others came to hear the candidate, and they keep shouting so that others can't hear the candidate, that after a bit (after they have made their point) they should be asked to leave.   Nobody has a right to prevent others from hearing a Presidential candidate that those others came to hear.  Regardless of the political leanings of the candidate or the shouter.

That's what I would want the police to do if some right-winger were shouting stuff at the President at one of his rallies.  I would want the police to remove the shouter -- people who came to hear the President as a candidate for re-election have a right to hear the President as a candidate for re-election.  Do you disagree with that?  Do you think that a protester who is shouting down the President at a political rally should just be left alone so that others can't hear what he has to say?

            Right?

In all situations even when the person speaking promises to criminalize your very existence. Just stand there patiently and let him promote hate speech that results in people getting beaten and killed.

Shut up and take it, is that what you are telling me to do?

just because you don't like what someone is saying doesn't mean that other people dont' have a right to hear the speech.  If people are being disruptive, they can be asked to leave.  This isn't a first amendment issue--it's a common courtesy issue.

If you want to counter with 'well, nothing Santorum says  is common courtesy', well, that's fine--but it's still your opinion.

If you're opposed to abortion on moral grounds (not political grounds) and you actually believe that a fetus is a life, then by your logic it is completely fine to loudly disrupt a pro-choice event without being removed from the premises.

              No, it's not.

being arrested when they disrupted city hall meetings over the health care reform law. I remember them shouting down anything the (mostly) democratic Senators or Congress People said, but I don't recall any being arrested let alone tazered. I'm not saying being disrupted to that extent is right or should be tolerated, but it doesn't go both ways when it comes to law enforcement and what they enforce. Perhaps there was an arrest or two and I'm not remembering it, but even so, it wasn't on this scale and there was no tazer or pepper spray involved like the Occupations have suffered over less.

This video doesn't show that.  I'm sure there's video that shows that the cops started it, right?
