    Cesium does concentrate in sealife, as you say. So does potassium, strangely enough. Seafish run to about 100-150 Bq/kg of natural K-40 radioactivity depending on species. I believe that shellfish and lobster run higher than that. By comparison the meat from land animals such as cows, pigs etc. only contains about 70Bq/kg of K-40 since they're not continuously saturated in a high-potassium environment. Some common vegetables such as carrots and potatoes run to the same sort of K-40 contamination levels as seafood.

     The locations of the three sampling points (where cesium radioistope activity levels were 1% of the K-40 levels) I mentioned is given in the test report I linked to. They're about 200 to 250km east and north of the Fukushima Dai-ichi site. I think from my reading of the chart and previous charts the samples were taken at the surface.

     I've not seen any recent reports in English on Cs-134 and Cs-137 contamination levels in seafood caught off the eastern Japanese coast; there's some historical numbers available from spring and summer last year where excessive values caused the closure of fishing areas and the abandonment of some particular types of catches. I don't know if those fisheries have reopened -- there is still a lot of disruption to the coastal communities in that area as a result of the tsunami which won't have helped.
