    This still an awful idea.  The irony is they didn't even get it right.

    If you want to extend the primaries (and so extend the fight) you vote for Romney right now, who is on the ropes.

      A party, that's who. Unless you want to go take up a fight against the American Legion for only allowing veterans/relatives to be members.

      The Democratic Party is an organization, it has members. Only members should participate in the nominating process. Now, I'm all for other methods that open up access to the ballot -- instant runoff voting, clean elections, easier ballot access for third parties, and so on. But I don't expect Republicans to vote in our primaries any more than I expect to vote in theirs. It's wrong to do.

      It's an awful idea, and they didn't even get it right.
        Romney is now on the ropes, and an upcoming victory for him would allow for equilibrium to be re-established.
        The race would go on for a long time still because the extremists, who are now the base of that party, will never like Romney.
