    by the Republican primary.

For my money, we, the Democratic/progressive machine should be focused:

    1) helping down-ticket candidates in red states
    2) helping down-ticket candidates who may not be able to ride Obama's coattails wherever they are
    3) stopping the Republican machine from stealing the election
    4) pressing Global Warming to the forefront, holding scientists accountable for publicizing scientific consensus and exposing the myths and liars, and holding the media accountable for dispelling the doubt they have manufactured and reporting the condition today, shunning/exposing bad actors and reporting on accurate, honest, responsible efforts going forward.

This, too, shall pass. Just like the last global ecological cataclysm. C'est la vie, dude. Take a chill pill, recite the serenity prayer, go with the flow and the moderates into that "goodnight".

you're liable to have much of your effort pulled out from you when the races get stolen.

As for climate change, if you know the scientific timeline, it can't not be a top priority. While electing Democrats will make the political environment a little easier, they are NOT going to be a decisive factor. What needs to be done is too politically difficult for either party. Government won't do it on any scale that even remotely addresses the earth's schedule. And the earth is not going count leaners or otherwise compromise. Being not very close with Republicans or still not close with Democrats won't matter.

In the end, there'll have to be non-governmental forces at play. Enormous ones.

And then we'll really understand that it's not nice to fool with Mother Nature.
