So, there's a life on Kindle and a life with books? Interesting.  My husband is after me to get a Kindle or a Nook. He knows how much reading means to me, but he is a techno weenie, and a guy who is always looking to save a dime.

SIGH. Perhaps I'll have to give in. For a long time, I have enjoyed being the neighborhood library. I buy the books for me, but enjoy sharing them with every one.  Time was, many on the block came to my door, at my invite, asking if I had anything new to read. This was a joy to me, and made every dime I spent on books worth it times two.  One for me, one for everyone I could pass a book on to.

But now, many of my neighbors and friends have Kindles and nooks.  They don't come to my door for books as often as they used to.

As one of my favorite voices, Bob Dylan, said years ago, "the times they are a changin."  Of course at that time, I was on the crest of the wave along with him.  Now I must run to catch up.

      We'll see.  We'll see.

        "junk" reading :)

I still have to buy real books for research -and kindle cannot substitute for photography and artworks.

Plus kindle has a lot of free things - so many old classics are now downloaded -- nice to have them in one package.

But best for me is being able to change the print size - so many books have very small print - the kindle makes everything much easier on these aging eyes!
