  •  Thanks but no thanks (0+ / 0-)

I'm a big rail fan and have traveled all over the UK on their excellent rail...but.

Take the nonsense of HS rail in California as an example. Build it, or start building it in Fresno, connecting no where to no where. Nonsense and worse, typical stupid politicians and political moves.

    •  True. California is a barren state (2+ / 0-)

with almost no people and no cities in it.

A vast unpopulated wasteland with an insignificant economy and zero redeeming qualities.

You'll be a frontpager in no time with such vision and analysis...

      •  Let me take the Green Line into LAX (0+ / 0-)

California and public transportation, aka rail lines, is a Potemkin village of sorts.

Remind me why I can't take the Metro Rail Green line all the way into LAX?

Stupid politicians who are promoting building the HS rail system in CA that does not start in SF or in LA are just that stupid. The system will never get built completely, just like the Green Line never got finished because of the lousy politics in this state.

      •  There is a legitimate issue here. (0+ / 0-)

I think the idea of leveraging the existing infrastructure as much as possible has merit.
