      the less his actions make sense. It would help if he'd actually talk....

      Which actually is part of his fail, silence breeds speculation.

      Also fury from his supporters who would like him to explain himself instead of dodging their calls, questions, tweets, facbook postings, emails......

        sense tends to be one based in pure speculation and imagination (blackmail, some kind of community/family arm twisting).

        Apparently he's willing to have his political career destroyed over this.
