      to have a more self-determinant future, especially since Israel will have less of an excuse for involvement once Hezbollah is no longer supported by Syria.

        has anything to do with syria, and not with the fact that hezbollah's guerilla war forced an end to israel's occupation of southern lebanon, and defeated another invasion a few years later.

        hezbollah could be supported by the freaking US and israel would still be aligned against them. it's basic geopolitics.
