  •  It's no surprise to see many on the Left support (0+ / 0-)

the anti-Syrian government narrative.  We saw this same thing before the Iraq war.  The NY Times was very Hawkish before the war but then became "anti-war" after the war started (after the mission was accomplished).  Well here's a leftest named Dr. Michel Chossudovsky with an alternative view of the situation in Syria.

    •  There were alternative views of the Bosnian war... (1+ / 0-)

...aswell. Not the finest day for Russian journalism, nor Noam Chomsky either. They were wrong. Thousands more died.

Russia-Iran-Syria are allies.  RT is sometimes, at least, a Russian propaganda outlet.

Dude says Turkey-Israel support the other side, although the greater fear would be a strict Islamic state.  Still, odd bedfellows do occur.

And I defend the rights of those being indiscriminately and not so indiscriminately shelled--and particularly innocent citizens and journalists--not particular political groups

      Greed's self-regulation is collapse. So is delusion's.

      •  When it comes to RT (0+ / 0-)

I don't listen to their views on Russian subjects.  But for coverage on American foreign policy, there is no one better.  It's sort of like when I want coverage on Republicans, I watch CNBC.  When I want coverage on Democrats, I watch Fox. I watch whoever gives the more critical media coverage.

When it's time for globalist and corporate wars, all American major media outlets are useless.  NPR, NY Times, etc have sounded like Sean Hannity lately regarding Syria.

When the power structure wants war, all the American  media outlets oblige.

      •  Is Fox News better than RT? (0+ / 0-)

        Just curious

    •  When it comes down to (0+ / 0-)

war propaganda, people close the eyes and are willing to buy everything.  As in the case of the war in Iraq, the escalation in Afghanistan and the war in Libya.  Now, Syria and Iran.   All dictators have to be demonized systematically in order to justify a new war.   Even if we supported them in the past.  Even when among our "friends" who help us demonize our enemies are brutal dictators themselves.   Like the Saudis and the Bahrainis.

The systematic media propaganda is totally out of control.  At this point it is very hard to know what is a fact and what is not.   One thing is for sure, CNN, Fox News and other certainly have an agenda and promote war.
