      back to the pulping process - hence you have wood building products, paper etc.

      What you will typically find is that smaller companies (who are not vertically integrated) rely on the big paper prodecers for their raw materials - for example, most  napkins are just printed and embossed absorbant paper.  Many printing and embossing companies don't pulp their own paper - they buy bulk stock - domestically and abroad.  Paper is very efficient to transport in bulk form - you get a lot of weight per cubic foot so you can easily fit the maximum 40,000 lbs on a container.  The reason we don't import napins from China is t would cost too much to ship since the pounds per cubic foot are greatly reduced in the embossing / folding process.

      Like it or not, it would be better to support Koch Bros than a foreign company - they still have to employ US workers.
