Government is only entitled to the powers which citizens cede to it, and should never enforce one citizen's religious values on another.

I may believe that abortion should be avoided; that's fine. But until the fetus has the rights of a citizen (born or capable of being born), I do not cede to government the right to make medical decisions for me or for anyone else. If a person did not believe in blood transfusions and had enough support, should government forbid blood transfusions?

Because we don't teach much civics in this country we don't think of it this way. But it is very important to remind people that Rowe is based on Griswold (birth control), and the basis of that decision is that the government does not belong in your doctor's office.  If Rowe were overturned, it's likely Griswold would go as well.

The morality of abortion is not a government issue at all.

They WANT to overturn Griswold too - they've already come far out into the open about it.

      If it's
      Not your body,
      Then it's
      Not your choice
      And it's
      None of your damn business!
