It isn't business as usual after CU. 2016 will make 2012 look like NOTHING. Anything that helps Jane and Joe American understand that is money well-spent. Popular entertainers ... J&J hear what they do.

it will make it look like a democratic/obama/liberal problem, when its the exact opposite. at least that is my fear.

It is the problem, right, left, middle, purple, whatever. It will take all Americans to overturn CU on the Constitutional level. Everyone needs tangible evidence of what CU means.

i realize what the problem is. my point is that Bill Maher and his contribution to Obama's SuperPac are imperfect messagers for illustrating the problem, and my fear is that his contribution will put the spotlight on obama and make obama defend everything that Bill Maher has to say about the election.

because of the way the press and politics work in this country at this moment, that is a burden obama will have that the GOPer candidate won't have to the same extent, simply because the GOPer superpac donors are not celebrities satirists and don't seek the sort of headlines Bill Maher can generate on a weekly basis. and this is the case even though those GOPer superpac donors are much more powerful and far more intent on exploiting this superpac vehicle to pervert our elections than a celebrity pndit ever could be.
