    I think you may very well find that News Corp will argue that their imposition of the (L, i,ack of) Ethics Committee that they now have at NI means they have attempted to fully co-operate with the authorities once they became aware of the situation.

    I am not sure if that operation could not be seen as a "snow job" i.e. releasing so much raw information - hundreds of millions of e-mails which had to be electronically searched for key words simply to identify possible targets - was intended to overwhelm the investigation at a time they thought it had fairly limited staff resources.

    Fight poverty, oppression, hunger, ignorance, disease and aggression wherever they occur.

      hard to argue, seeing as it's five years after the senior management knew and there has been a  pattern since then of destroying evidence. We know that in 2006 there are emails showing discussions of this between management and corporate lawyers.
