care that he was linked with ALEC.  ALEC and its members think they have won, it is time for we voters to show them that we are going to win by throwing them out of office this November and in subsequent state elections.

American Citizens require and DEMAND that we know who is writing our laws, and what economic interests our elected representatives actually represent.  If we prove that they represent Big Corporate America, at our expense, it is time to get rid of them at the ballot box and never allow them back into any political office, ever.

An Arizona representative has introduced legislation which requires disclosure when an outside organization writes a "Model Bill" of who wrote the legislation, who the actual authors of the bills are, and who stands to gain from the passage of the legislation.  In short, that bill demands accountability and transparency on who writes our laws.

Every citizen demands and deserves to know who writes our laws as well, and quite frankly, when a law operates to cause citizens to foot the bill and transfer our wealth to the corporate interests who, behind closed doors, extracted a tax from each of us, then it is time to separate the lazy legislators who don't actually write our laws, but take credit for those brilliant ideas.  In the real world, this is called plagiarism, but to a Radical Republican ALEC Member it is called the way we get things done for our "investors".

It is time for them to go.

by ALEC and the Koch brothers.

      First the Koch's:

Now this is quite a figure, over half a Billion Dollars from ALEC Corporate members to state candidates with 98 per cent going to incumbent and winning candidates, quite a success rate, don't you think?

These folks are Investing in purchasing our legislatures, our legislators and legislation that benefits them financially.

This is world class outright corruption of our political process, and the purchasing of legislation, likely just skirting the legal definition of bribery.

It's time for ALEC Member legislators to go, and it's time to put ALEC out of business, completely.  Let's first go after their tax exempt 501(c)3 status as a non profit.

Let's then expose the legislative members by comparison to this list, then run them out of office.

Thanks to MNDem999 for the two lists above.

I'm looking up my state (KS) legislators now. Of course Kansas is the home base of the Koch brothers, I'm sure there is lots of investigating to do.

majority do the ALEC members represent in each house of your legislature.

If it is over 20 per cent of each house, ALEC members can join a coalition and gain control of the legislature.  If you look at how many ALEC are in the leadership like Senate Majority Leader or House Speaker, then ALEC is in full control of the legislative agenda.

In Kansas, the state chair is Senator Ray Merrick.  What position in the leadership does he hold.

I know in Ohio, the state chair, Mr. John Adams is very powerful.

Here, you can look for yourself who your state chair or chairs are:

Here, take a look to see if any legislators you recognize is on the Board of Directors:

          http://www.alec.org/...

How about the Board of Scholars?

          http://www.alec.org/...

Here is the Private Enterprise Board.  They make sure that laws are written in such a manner that their economic interests are favored over your economic interests.

It is time to run all ALEC legislators out of our legislatures because ALEC owns them, and they do not represent your interests.

Publicize ALEC Legislators, hold their feet to the fire, make them disclose that the laws they are plagiarizing (that's cheating) are not written to advance the interests of those who elected them, they are written to advance the interests of those who wine and dine them in fancy resorts three times a year, with 3 to 5 days each time of the best face time a lobbyist and corporate big could buy.  When was the last time your state legislator gave you three to five days of face time to discuss your needs and how to help meet them?  Crickets?  Of course, you don't count to an ALEC member.

Let's run ALEC Legislators and ALEC out of town this November.  Let's start a movement.  Start today.
