    And my sauce is similar to yours, but I go ahead and cook it in, along with a diced onion.

    It's important to use the right cut of pork roast. If it is shoulder or butt, as it's called some places, it will shred nicely. If it's a loin roast, that will turn to mush cooked like this. Is not nice pulled pork.
