  •  Kos isn't mainstream (0+ / 0-)

to these people he's Satan himself and this sort of thing is expected. But I'm glad it's not a coordinated campaign with the party.

I'm not talking about what he is to the wingnuts.  I'm talking about the story line.  If Santorum does win MI and become the bona fide GOP front-runner, there is likely to be a backlash against HIM the same way the party has shied away from any loser they've foisted into that position.  Going forward, what Rmoney has is the (probably true) assertion that he's the only goper with anything like a chance to beat Obama.  Being able to say, "Democrats have been openly supporting Santorum because they don't want to face me in the general election," while being able to actually point to this stuff, strengthens his case.  Markos and others who are openly doing this throw him a line not an anchor.

It ticks me off not because I don't believe anyone should do it (no pearls in my hands) but because of the amateurish and short sighted way it's being done.

When the truth is only a matter of opinion, advantage goes to the liars.

page posts, it IS coordinated through the Michigan Democratic Party.  They sent an email telling dems to vote for Santorum.  he used is as a "see?  I was right!" post.

Kos didn't make an agreement with the party to jointly promote this. He was merely pointing out that the party and the Obama administration have the same opinion as he does.

Actually the national party has been careful to stay out of this - wisely, IMO. It shouldn't be an official position. The state party might have overstepped its bounds by letting us know the primary is open (without recommending who to vote for), but I'll wait for the results to make a judgment.
