but having an idea that Limbaugh, Romney and Santorum all think is fabulous, is not one I would proudly encourage. Rather, it makes the idea impossible to endorse. But that's just me.

ice cream, does that mean you are instantly against those things?  Strategic voting is employed everywhere and across all political persuasions and has been for a long time.  Why people happened to throw hissy fits over it around here makes absolutely no sense.

danger is, we might be voting strategically, but they're campaigning strategically.

The question is, who's a better strategist?  I'm not trying to say that Rush knows some secret the rest of the country does not.  But if Santorum is elected President due to democrats in Michigan, we confirm that we're the party of f*ckup.

      •  that is a shallow comparison (0+ / 0-)

And how successful is it anyway? All it does is skew the numbers. I just think it's more productive working and voting for the candidate I'd like to win. But hey, this is the land of the brave and the free right? Carry on as you will. Just not my preferred focus.

hilarious strategic voting campaigns.  That's their choice.  But to suggest that strategic voting will bring Santorum into power, set back gay rights by 40 years, or bring on plagues of locusts was utterly ridiculous.
