  •  Yep, they're not important, (11+ / 0-)

    as the emails only

...reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defense Intelligence Agency.
Good thing no one took 'em serious, or we'd have something to be concerned about.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, move along, nothing to see here.
    Look over there, bright shiny!!!!!!
    Sigh.

Or a sort of repackaging and evaluation of already known information? I've always had the impression it was more the latter. And am not surprised that major companies, and federal agencies, include such a thing in their newsletter subscription diet.

You provide the quote you do as though it were fact, when it appears simply to be Wikileaks opinion. Likewise, Stratfor marketed their opinions, whether anybody wants to hold those out as facts or not.

    •  what I don't get (0+ / 0-)

(slightly off topic) is how Dow can justify spending the money to hire Stratfor to spy on medical relief organizations that are trying to help the victims of the Bhopal disaster...but they won't spend money to clean up the mess they made? I guess Stratfor is cheaper.

My other favorite piece of news (so far) was that Wachovia has laundered something like 70 million in Mexican drug cartel money.
