  •  Hey, lay off the Wiccan bashing (6+ / 0-)

One of my best friends is a Wiccan, and they do not eschew doctors or modern medicine in favor of spells or magic. That is an ignorant stereotype with no basis in reality.

While I agree with many of the points you made, I can't rec this comment on the basis of your bigotry.

New drinking game: Try saying "sullen scolding sanctimonious sourpuss Santorum" fast 10 times.

    •  I apologize for my error. I had a rough draft in (10+ / 0-)

Word to send as LTE.    One of my daughters was Wiccan for a while, so I do know better.  I simply failed to edit out my error of listing of "usual suspects" that terrify folks trying to push for religion in public schools.

Personally, I think if religion could be taught FAIRLY that it might help some young women to know that not all faith is based on single male deity.  That's why I object to God in pledge and motto change to in God we trust.  It "establishes" a single view and thus demeans the rest.

I can't email out of state Senator.  Tried to post quickly so
if her staff is reading responses -- they might glean data/opinion to help in arguing against these horrid sexist repressions.

      Mea Culpa.
